Empowering seniors through AI-assisted nutrition and habit building.

GoldenBites runs a free 3-session workshop that helps seniors understand their eating habits and learn to log meals with the Healthy 365 app — with practical advice from a dietitian and hands-on support from volunteers.

Why we started GoldenBites

Seniors are often told to "eat healthier" — but generic advice rarely accounts for the food they actually eat, from hawker favourites to home-cooked staples. We wanted something more concrete: a small, repeated programme where seniors could see their own choices clearly, learn from a real dietitian, and try one realistic change, with someone sitting beside them the whole way.

Notice → Choose → Keep

Each of our three sessions builds on the last, with one simple idea to carry forward.

Notice

Seniors learn what's actually on their plate, with a dietitian-led session and their first guided meal log.

Choose

A hands-on tasting activity comparing everyday Singapore food choices, ending in one realistic food swap.

Keep

Seniors read back their own logged data, share what changed, and receive a certificate for their progress.

Our impact goals

GoldenBites is a new pilot — these are the targets we're working toward across our first 15 sessions. As real sessions run, we'll update this section with our actual numbers.

0

Seniors reached across 5 partner venues

0%

Aim to identify one nutrition gap or improvement

0%

Aim to log or interpret a meal with minimal help

0%

Aim to commit to one realistic food swap

Targets from our SG Partnerships Fund pilot proposal, tracked via attendance, pre/post feedback, and volunteer observations.

What happens at a session

Every GoldenBites session is built around three simple things.

Dietitian-led learning

Practical nutrition advice using familiar Singapore hawker and home-cooked food examples.

Volunteer support

About one volunteer for every five seniors, helping with the Healthy 365 app and session activities.

A trusted centre

Sessions run at Allkin @ Pasir Ris, with more centres planned as the programme grows.
